Full Description

{1} House, now school. C17. Datestone 1647. Altered C19 and C20. Coursed ironstone rubble, slate roof, flanking brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3 bays. Central doorway with plain stone frame and 4-panel part-glazed door. C20 three-light casement window with wood lintel to right. 3-light stone-mullioned window with moulded stone frame to left. Similar window in left bay on the first floor. Central window has moulded stone frame and 3-light wood casement. 3-light casement window with wo :> ht bay. Coped gable ends with kneelers. C20 stone extensions at rear. Wing projecting from left side at rear. C17 coursed ironstone rubble, slate roof. 2 storeys. Has C20 windows and coped gable ends. Interior: remodelled C20; but retains moulded spine beams.
