{1} Steps. Probably late C17th, restored C20th, for Sir Christopher Hatton IV. Limestone ashlar. Semi-circular flight. Originally led from the Great Garden to the South Terrace. Owned by Winchelsea estate in guardianship of HMBCE. Kirby Hall is scheduled as an ancient monument. Included for group value. (Kirby Hall garden is included in the HBMC County Register of gardens at Grade II*).
