Full Description

{1} Kiln. Probably early C19th. Squared coursed limestone with brick dressings. Circular plan, built into hillside. Arch-head entrance. Probably used for slaking lime.

{3} Kiln built into the side of a hill. Grass grown banks indicating route of carts delivering raw materials to kiln top. Stone construction.

{4} An excellent example of a small rural lime kiln, with quarry behind almost one-level access to top of kiln. Though there are two NGR's believed to be the same kiln NGR is ref 1 is very general.
