Full Description

{1} Greenhouse. Early/mid C19. Dressed limestone, cast iron and glass. Rectangular with apsed entrance end. Central door flanked by Tuscan pilasters. Glazed bays separated by piers with similar pilasters. Entablature and blocking cornice. Pineapple finials to parapet flanking apsidal end and either end of roof ridge. Interior roof supported by cast-iron columns. In Italian garden but pre-dating its existing layout. (Castle Ashby park and gardens are included in HBMC Register of Parks and Gardens fo hire at Grade I)

{3} About 50m west of the Archway House is the free-standing, early to mid C19 Camellia or Round House (listed grade II), which has an apsidal entrance end.
