Full Description

{1} Cottage. C18 altered C20. Coursed limestone rubble, thatch roof, brick end stack. 2-storey, 2-window range. Two-unit plan. Central C20 door with wood lintel. 3-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors with wood lintels. Interior noted as having chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer.

{3} Analysis, plan & photographs. The cottage is of at least three major phases, whilst the visible decorative elements suggest an 18th century date, this represents the refurbishment and probable extension at that time of an existing building on the site which did not necessarily have a domestic use.
