Full Description

Farmhouse. c.1700, extended 1741 and early C19. Coursed squared limestone, plain-tile roof, brick end stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 5-window range. 2-unit central-staircase plan. Central 6-panel door with overlight, wood lintel and semi-circular hood on brackets. Cross windows to ground and 1st floors with stone lintels and keyblocks. Bracketed wood eaves and ironstone-coped gables with kneelers. 2-storey extension to right with datestone facing yard to rear inscribed S/RE.1741. Early C19 2-store . left along High Street. Interior: chamfered spine beams, dog-leg staircase with turned balusters to lower flights, splat balusters to 1st floor and square newels with ball finials.
