Full Description
{1} House. Dated 1780, raised 1820 and altered C20. Coursed squared ironstone, C20 pantile roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 3-storey, 2-window range. 3-light leaded casement windows to ground floor with flat-arched heads. 2-light, leaded casement to 1st floor right and blocked window to 1st floor left, both with flat-arched heads. Smaller 2-light casement to 2nd floor right and blocked window to 2nd floor left, both with stone lintels and key blocks. Quoins and moulded stone eaves. Stonework inscribed J.S./1780. Single-storey extension to left. Entrance to right side towards rear. Rear elevation has central window with flat-arched head and keyblock dated 1820. Interior has chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Included for group value.
