Full Description

{1} Five furrows were successfully identified and surveyed within the development area. These were aligned W.N.W.to E.S.E.. It was only possible to see them from the SW corner of the site where raised ground allowed an opportunity to view the site from a slightly elevated position. A recent addition to the landscape is a road which forms the northwest boundary of the site. Beyond this is a field containing ten furrows, flanked by ridges. This field had not been levelled at all and the short manicured grass meant they were in particularly good condition. The ridge and furrows were visible after the top-soil strip. The furrows had been partially backfilled with topsoil, modern glass and 20th century bricks.
