Summary

Archaeological watching brief undertaken during the construction of the Crick Bypass identified a series of intercut pits. A small amount of Roman pottery was found.

Full Description

{1} Field 3 contained up to six adjoining, irregular shaped pits measuring 2m in diameter and interpreted as possible quarrying activity with three sherds of Roman greyware pottery recovered from their upper fills.
