Full Description

{3} In the 18th century, maps indicate that there was a large rectangular open space or green at the north end of the village, already partly encroached upon. Nothing now remains of this open green. It was destroyed in the 19th century when the gounds of Falcon Manor were extended across the east part, the present New Road was cut across it and the rest was built over.
