Full Description

{1} Recorded within the ring ditch was a sub rectangular feature with steep sides measuring 7.35m x 4.21m wide and 0.87m deep. The pit contained a mid brown silt primary fill. Pottery dated to the 17th to 19th C, slag, glass, nails and bone was retrieved from this feature. The feature has been interpreted as a quarry pit.
