Full Description

{1} Wollaston had seven public houses and two licensed clubs in operation during the early 20th century. Only three, the Fox and Hounds in Church Lane, The Bell Inn, Bell End and The Marquis of Granby on London Road have ceased trading. All three properties have been converted into houses and show little external evidence of their previous use. The Cuckoo, and Bell Inn are a mixture of stone and red brick, having been re-faced.

During the 1900's a number of stone houses were refaced with brick.
