Full Description

{1} Premises latterly used by Hinde & Mason, Moter Factors but the 1940's kelly's Directory shows the building as occupied by Geo. Dunkley, Leather Goods Manufacturer. Not of the classic three storey design, but still has sub-basement rooms for the 'bottom stock' rooms. The building has a frontage of about 20 feet and extends back for something near 60 feet from the road. Although only two storeys high, this also has half windows at pavement level and external doors at its left hand end at both street and first floor level. The latter has a swinging jib, now lacking the hoist rope or chain, mounted on the wall on its left hand side.

{2} West front is of pier and panel construction with segmental heads to the tops of the panels. The panels are in buff-coloured brick with the piers in orange-red brick. Blue brick is used for the plinth and a header course in the eaves. All the windows an the loading doorway on the first floor have segmental heads and stone sills.
