The site of a searchlight battery from World War II. Known only from documentary sources. It was controlled by the 467 S/L Battery 73 S/L Regiment. It would have been constructed between 1939 and 1945 but the present condition is uncertain. The site is located at Clay Hills, Grendon.

{1} Original source PRO ref WO/166/3313 the war diary of 467 Searchlight Bty, 72 Searchlight Regiment. Documentary confirmation of this searchlight site known as 25636 Clay Hills. NGR calculated by Armishaw from MGR 84/323807. NB This S/L is not evident on 1947 RAF vertical Aps. Site now underlies electricity sub-station- thus lost.
