Full Description

{1} During the 18th century an ill-defined, large, irregular deep pit or ditch terminal was present on the south western edge of the site. It was truncated by a modern pit and contained 13th to 18th/19th century pottery sherds, fragments of animal bone, coal, bottle glass and worked stone. The sparse 18th and 19th century sherds in the deposit are likely to date earlier in their range.
