Full Description

{1} A row of four rubbish pits were located hard up against the southern side of main wall foundation, which had clearly been established as a main boundary wall when they were dug. They were filled with clay, ash and building materials and contained 12th-19th century pottery sherds and other waste. One of the pits in particular contained 18th-19th century material in association with a significant quantity of residual medieval sherds.
