Full Description

{1} A number of pits of similar size and shape, roughly 1m-1.25m in diameter, circular and shallow (between 0.12m and 0.41m deep).
A large post hole 1m x 0.7m with a distinct post pipe. Other post holes identified during excavation suggested no specific clustering which could indicate their former use.

{2} To the east of Enclosure 2 there were a series of pits and postholes, all the pits were of a similar size and shape, 1-1.24m diameter with depths varying between 0.12-0.4m. Three of the pits lay close to the edge of the excavation and one lay close to the junction between Enclosures 1 and 2. All pits within the group were filled with a dark brow loam sand.
