Full Description

{1} A water course present on early C19th OS surveyors mapping is discernible in part on a 1940s AP as well as surviving to the present as a partial earthwork. It is suggested that this was a temporary engineering work that along with other features hereabouts, may well have been associated with construction/use of the nearby Grand Union (Mon 502/1) and Grand Junction (Mon 442/1) canals. It may also be related to Mons 628 and 627, which are also related to water management.
