Full Description

{1}On residual ground on the margin of a former quarry, the foundation of a building 27x11m, with a circular structure 7m overall on NE corner, possibly a stair tower or dovedote, and a flanking wall 4m distance on S extending W a total of 38m. The remains suggest the base of a tower house, possibly on a small motte and bailey encroached by the quarry (Interpretation T Welsh).
