Full Description

{1} Rectangular stone animal pound. Located on Pound Close on the north side of the village. Built of coursed limestone walling with vertical limestone coping. Stands up to 1.7m high. It encloses a grassed area measuring approximately 6 by 6 metres. Single entrance c. 1 metre wide.
Rare survival in the county. Presumably of post-medieval or possibly earlier origins, although the history of the pound is yet to be established. Photos.
