Full Description

{1} A group of three Beaker pits, which may represent all that survives of a Beaker domestic site, was uncovered. All were totally excavated. None produced any evidence of function.
F1 and F2 were each roughly circular in plan, averaging 0.5m wide at the mouth and surviving to a maximum depth of c.0.15m. Both were hemispherical in section, and contained a small quantity of Beaker sherds. Two worked flints were obtained from F1. F3 was roughly oval in plan, averaged 0.6m x 0.42m wide at the mouth, and survived to a maximum depth of 0.18m. It was of irregular cross-section. Five Beaker sherds and two worked flints were obtained from the fill.
