Full Description

{1} Curved concrete structure within Northampton Electricity Power Station. Cast concrete. Derelict, and of uncertain original purpose, but AA has suggested that it might possibly be associated with the alleged development of aero engines at this site in the 1940s.

{2} Rumour of a prototype jet engine test bed

{3} {4} Thick concrete arched structure… with another longer building of the same construction at right angles to it on the eastern side. There is also a large 24' span Nissen hut and flat roofed concrete building. Perhaps some of these structures could have been connected with the rumour of a prototype jet engine test bed?
