Full Description

{1} Four truncated postholes and a probable southeast-northwest ditch were found during trial trenching. The exact nature of the archaeology could not be confirmed by the trial trenching results, although it could be associated with the early medieval manor. It has been suggested that a large deposit of dumped clay found in Trench 1 could represent dumped clay from the manorial fishpond construction/maintenance works.
