Monument record 1869/1 - Possible Roman Villa, east of the Sewage Works

Roman material has been found in the area, suggesting a possible villa or settlement. A 3rd Century Roman coin was also found.

{1} A possible Roman villa was discovered by fieldwalking. A 3rd century coin of the radiate crown type was found along with the usual sherds etc. TL035798.

{2} Unspecified Roman material, said to represent a possible villa, is recorded. A 3rd century coin has also been found.
