Monument record 3727/0/9 - Middle Iron Age Enclosure, Grendon Quarry

Summary
Limited archaeological excavation during gravel extraction between 1976-80 revealed a small sub-rectangular enclosure measuring 13.5mx10m with an entrance 2.35m wide at the south-west corner. The ditch had been recut twice on its inner edge and a small quantity of middle Iron Age pottery was recovered from its fill
