Monument record 9514/0/7 - Iron Age enclosure (Morphed Aerial Archaeology Interpretation)

{2} The ditches of the enclosure recorded in cropmark were identified at either end of the trench. The broad ditch forming the western side of the enclosure proved on excavation to comprise a series of steeply sides small ditches or gullies, presumably representing recuts of a single line. A levelling layer was added over the partially backfilled gullies. A small ditch may form the eastern side of the enclosure.

{4} Any further archaeological remains of the enclosure will have survived in situ under the new car park surface.
