Monument record 1335/0/1 - Saxon to medieval field boundaries or wood banks
Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A possible medieval or post-medieval field boundary ditch is visible as a cropmark on historic aerial photographs. Located in a parliamentary inclosed field about 752 metres NE of Bozeat Grange, the up to 3 metres wide linear ditch extends about 180 metres NW-SE. The cropmark ditch appears to form part of former pre-inclosure medieval field boundaries east of Bozeat Wood, which is recorded as extant on 1815 maps, but which appears to have been mostly cleared by 1885.
