Full Description

{2} Limestone pit of about 1880-1905. The circular foundations of the kilns can be seen in dry weather.

{3} To the south of the main street extensive 19th century quarrying has destroyed the remains of at least six houses which stood here in 1583 and the sites of three others which had already been abandoned by that date.
