Full Description
{1} Fieldwalking pre 1979. Furnace lining and slag on the surface of the ploughed field. No conclusive dating evidence found.
[SMR Note 06/09/2007: quoted ngr of Site 4 as SP925951 incorrect according to map shown at beginning of report and probably should read SP935951.]
{2} Furnace lining and slag have been found at SP934951, indicating iron working, probably of Roman date, but no dating evidence to support this.
