Full Description
{1} Presumed to be entry for Brampton Ash (air photographs taken by J.Pickering) wrongly located to SP791800 (ie. Rothwell parish). However the text entry reads only "Rectangular enclosures."
{2} A ditched enclosure may be a long barrow or possibly a modern feature.
{3} A mound 50m long and 8m wide, markedly rectangular and flat-topped, lying at right angles to the contours. It has now been destroyed and is visible only as a cropmark. RCHME interpret the feature as of medieval or later date.
