Full Description
{2} The subcircular enclosure was targeted by two test pits, but nothing was found. This may indicate that the feature was just a footpath not marking the presence of an archaeological feature or that the relatively small size of the test pits did not provide adequate coverage to fully test the feature. The possibility that the raised footpath identified during the topographic survey masks an earlier feature, such as an earlier enclosure or even a Civil War encampment, remains possible.
