Full Description
{2} A broad terrace some 10m across and bounded by low scarps continues north east on the alignment of the north west side of the pond (706/2/1). At its north east end the terrace narrows into a low bank. The feature has trhe appearance of a driveway leading to the castle, but because of the existence of the pond at its south west end this is unlikely. A more plausible explanation is that it marks an avenue of trees which lay across the park. Difficult to date but perhaps of the later 17th or early 18th century.
