Full Description
{2} Earthworks which may have been part of the manorial complex. The feature to the south west is shown on the OS plan of 1883 as a broad trench described as Old Gravel Pits. However, on air photographs taken before destruction it is clear that this trench consisted of two conjoined rectangular ponds with a broad bank or dam on the north west side. These were set on a spring line just below the crest of the hill.
