Monument record 368/1/5 - Medieval Fishpond (Morphed Aerial Archaeology Interpretation)

Earthwork: Non-destructive fieldwork

{1} Aerial photos NCCAP:SP5159/003-6+11.

{2} A larger pond, still water-filled, which appears to be ornamental and part of the 17th century garden though it may have had earlier origins. This pond appears to cut through, and is thus later than, a series of low scarps which extend northwards and which are the close boundaries of the deserted village of Lower Catesby.
