Full Description
{4} Two small sub-rectangular enclosures, one inside the other and sharing a common boundary, perhaps indicating a degree of contemporaneity. Within the smaller enclosure gullies form an oval area of some 16m x 12m which could represent the remains of a house. Two linear ditches, extending to the south east and south west of the outer enclosure could form part of a contemporary field system.
{5} A ditch measuring 0.8m wide and 0.4m deep. The sides were cut at an angle of approx 45 degrees falling to a flattened base. A quantitiy of Iron Age pottery and a single fragment of burnt clay were recovered, and evidence of degraded animal bone was also noted.
