Full Description
{1} Cropmark evidence for large rectangular enclosure measuring 123m by 90m; sub-divided by single length of ditch; pitting within and to the south of the enclosure. Five sherds of Iron Age pottery and some early-middle Roman pottery have been recovered from the area of the cropmark. The cropmark could be contempory with further cropmarks on other side of the valley (5252/0/0) as they appear to be on a common alignment. Area could denote settlement, but more likely to have been exploited for arable cultivation.
{2} Faint but large subrectangular enclosure with appended ditches. NCCAP:SP9970/001-4.
