Full Description

{2} Settlement remains, formerly part of the hamlet of Southorpe, lie along both sides of a lane, immediately south of the present village. The hamlet may have developed as a daughter-hamlet (along with Eaglethorpe to the north) of the original Saxon village of Warmington. The remains consist mainly of slight, and often indeterminate, earthworks lying on both sides of a lane and around the former green; most of the earthworks can be identified as house-sites.
