Full Description
{4} Cropmark ring ditch. The 'non-surveyable' ditch has a maximum width of 2m. And is not discernable on the ground. The central mound survives as a low earthwork 15m (north-west to south-east) x 12m (north-east to south-west) x 0.5m high. This almost certainly represents a ploughed-over bowl barrow, located on a slight rise. Plan.
{5} The barrow is clearly visible, 0.6m high x 20m in diameter. There is no indication of substantial disturbance. Plan.
{6} Barrow earthworks. Slight raised mound, c.15m diameter. Probably SAM, see SMR.
{8} SP 9705 9894: A low mound, now under crop, which is thin on the mound but lush in the ditch. The overall dimensions of the mound are 15 metres northwest to southeast and 12 metres northeast to southwest with a maximum height of 0.5 metres. The non-surveyable ditch has a maximum width of 2 metres. Topographically the feature is atop a ridge some 75 metres above sea level. This situation plus its general appearance, condition and construction indicate it to be almost certainly a ploughed over bowl barrow. Surveyed on MSD (1:2500) from Aps {11}.
