Monument record 830/1/2 - Earthworks of Medieval Fishponds

{2} Three sunken fishponds 1.5m deep, set roughly at right angles to each other and linked by narrow channels. The northernmost is 20m by 8m, the central one 40m by 12m and the southernmost 22m by 20m. The latter has a large outer bank on its south side. The earthworks must be associated with Manor Farm and the fishponds are presumably medieval in date.

{3} The site overlooks meadows to the west where there are several embanked enclosures, presumably medieval fishponds, centred on SP67505761.
