Full Description

{2} The site was first excavated by G.Baker in 1823, and then by Botfield in 1852. Botfield re-excavated the area Baker had dug, then extended the works to reveal other parts of the Roman building. No trace of the villa remains on the ground and only a disturbed area marks its position.
