Earthwork: Poor quality photography

{2} Cropmarks/soilmarks and earthworks of 3 broad linear ditches, interpreted as medieval to post medieval drainage ditches.

{3} A series of linear and rectilinear anomalies were detected denoting the outlines of a rectilinear field system. This broadly confirmed the cropmark information.
Trench 54 located an undated boundary ditch aligned roughly NE-SW that was redefined on possibly four occasions. Each recutting resulted in the boundary moving further to the south east, which would suggest that an associated boundary feature, possibly a hedge, was present.
A roughly NE-SW furrow truncated a small possible pit which was identified only in section. No evidence for medieval cultivation in the area had been detected during the non-intrusive survey.
