Full Description

{1} Formal garden sections to the west of the house are shown.

{2} 1740 plan shows two raised platforms to the west of the house; function uncertain [they are almost certainly the formal garden terraces].

{3} The earthwork remains of a formal garden possibly constructed in the C18th. It formerly belonged to the now demolished Watford Court. The earthworks Lie to the west of the site of the house and have cut into and partly destroyed earlier settlement remains. At the east end of the hollow way and on either side of it are levelled platforms bounded by scarps and double scarps on their steep west sides. These may be garden terraces close to the house.
