Full Description

{1} NCCAP:SP6874/011-12 + SP6974/001-5.

{2} Although partly filled, the moat and ponds are well-preserved.

{4} To the west, east and south lie other earthworks. To the south-east corner of the site lies a fishpond 120m long x 25m wide.

{5} To the south-east of the small pond, but not connected to it, there is a long ditch, embanked on its south-west side, the south-east end of which passes into a large subrectangular depression (marked 'c' on the earthwork plan). The latter has largely been destroyed by modern cultivation, but was probably a fishpond.
