Full Description
{1} The moat still held water in 1778.
{2} At the north-west end of the village are the remains of a small moated enclosure (marked 'a' on the earthwork plan Fig.147), consisting of an island about 40m across surrounded by a shallow ditch now less than 1m deep. The whole has been overploughed with ridge and furrow.
