Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Soilmarks of a regular pattern of long closes are visible. Formerly bounded by low scarps, but the remains have now been ploughed flat. This may be a part of the village that was deserted before the early 19th century.

Full Description
{1} Possible medieval and post medieval earthworks of the deserted village of Hothorpe. NCCAP:SP6685/032-33.
{2} The surviving remains are fragmentary. To the south-east and east of the hall a more regular pattern of long closes is visible, bounded by low scarps. This may therefore have been a part of the village already deserted before the early C19th. Earthwork survey Fig.110.
