Full Description

{1} Earthworks of a former medieval/post medieval manor house. A broad, water-filled moat 2m deep encloses a squarish island. Excavation in 1955/6 of depressions in the north-west corner of the island revealed only late medieval brick, tile, pottery sherds and glass.

{4} Supposed finds from the island are in fact medieval in date.

{5} Moated site 85m square; a south-east entrance is formed by a causeway. A series of earthwork depressions and platforms mark the site of the manor house.
