Summary

The General Baptist Chapel on Kingswell Street was in existence by the middle of the 19th century. It replaced the Quaker Meeting House that had originally stood in the plot to the south from at least the middle of the 18th century. By 1884, it was no longer in use as a chapel and was being used as a warehouse. Now part of a bar/club that fronts onto Bridge Street.

{1} Facing Kingswell Street. Probably a former chapel although may possibly have been used as a warehouse. Not listed. Photographs.

{2} Property to south is in use as a Quaker Meeting House

{3} The General Baptist Cheple, Kingswell Street. A small neat structure, formerly the Friends Meeting House, rebuilt & enlarged.

{4} General Baptist Chapel in 1847.

{5} Property is listed as 'Bazaar & Ballroom Fittings Warehouse' in 1899.
