Full Description

{1} A total of four transects were walked in the area of Field 13 that would be affected by the proposed road. These covered c.1ha from which 41 worked flints and 11 sherds of Roman pottery were recovered.
The amount of flint would indicate a degree of prehistoric activity situated along the side of this stream valley. The majority of the assemblage comprised flakes and waste material, with a maximum concentration of nine examples from one stint. A few tools and possible cores were also present.
The Roman material may represent a manuring scatter.
