Full Description

{?} Block of ridge and furrow may formerly have been part of Hinton township fields. Mapped evidence of township holdings (Fig.194) suggests it was part of Woodford Halse, however township mapping provided by D.Hall places the earthworks within Hinton.

{3} To the north east of the village (SP548531) the modern allotments have been laid out on the pre-existing ridge and furrow and as a result have uneven widths and a reversed S-curve.
