Full Description

{4} Ridge and furrow is also traceable in th south west part of the parish in areas already enclosed in 1587 (SP881918-SP895935), though from the field shapes shown on the map it was once clearly part of the common fields. To the north west of Boundary Plantation (SP885922) the steep hillside is scarred by massive landslips. Air photos show that at some time much of the lower parts of these landslips were ploughed in ridge and furrow, despite the technical problems involved.
